Spring of 2025 was filled with a lot of individual success for the ABF boys as well as organizational success and growth. The high school tennis season was big for us with all six of our eligible school players (due to age or school not having a team) making and playing on their school teams this spring. Some highlights were Dorsey Mitchell playing on the Varsity team at Belmont High as a sophomore, as well as Jibril Satter having his first team experience playing for the middle school team at the Brookwood school in Manchester MA. Roan Bennett also had his first team tennis experience playing for his new school Catholic Memorial. As a 7th grader, we are very proud of Roan for making the Varsity team and working hard enough to secure a singles spot by the middle of the season. Matteus Washington, Ezequiel Pichardo-Diaz, and Mayfre Moreta, all play for the Latin Academy Boys Co-Op team coached by board member Andy Crane. For most of the season with Matteus at the 3rd singles spot, Ezequiel at the 1st doubles spot, and Mayfre at the 2nd doubles spot, they have all contributed to one of the team’s better seasons in awhile.
